2015 New England 1000 day 4

Wednesday’s driving took us from MA and into CT, where we visited Dragone Classic Motorcars and lunched at the home of Bill Scheffler. The Scheffler homestead was the day’s highlight, for the magnificent garage, the lawn’s car collection, and the lobster lunch. It was a long but lovely drive back into NY and a return to the Mohonk Mountain House.

  1. Looks like a great time all around ……. with a terrific variety of cars. Nice to see Peter Sach’s SWB Speciale there again as well as the Cushmans with the AC, but inquiring minds want to know: who is pounding the museum piece TR around on a road rally? Even if I had the indecent amount of money to own and maintain such a thing, I’d be constantly worried about errant SUVs and other assorted road goons careening into me while gawking, not to speak of the local constables inquiring about how it can be road legal.
